Introduction

Discovering São Paulo: an educational journey of learning and fun

São Paulo, the metropolis that never sleeps, is more than just a city - it's a pulsating center of opportunity and diversity! As the capital of the state of the same name and the main financial, corporate and commercial center of Latin America, São Paulo exerts an unparalleled global influence. With a population that makes it the most populous in Brazil and on the American continent, as well as being the fifth most populous city in the world, São Paulo is a veritable melting pot.

Its metropolitan region, home to around 21 million inhabitants, is one of the largest urban agglomerations on the planet. Recognized as an alpha global city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group & Network (GaWC), São Paulo is a center of innovation, business and culture that attracts visitors from all over the world. The city's motto, "Non ducor, duco", translates the essence of the São Paulo mentality: "I am not led, I lead".

Get ready to explore the fascinating world of science at the renowned Catavento Museum, where students will have the opportunity to interact with hands-on experiments and discover the secrets of the universe. Then dive into a world of illusions and discover how our minds can be fooled at the intriguing Museum of Illusions. Students will be amazed by the sensory and optical experiences that challenge human perception.

In the evening, embark on an exciting journey with the internationally renowned theater show, THE LION KING. Let yourself be enveloped by the magic of this Broadway classic as we watch the heartwarming story of Simba and his journey of self-discovery.

On the second day, enjoy panoramic views of the city of São Paulo on Sampa Sky, a unique experience on an incredible Ferris wheel. Admire the city's main sights while learning about its history and architecture. And to conclude our trip, we'll explore street art at the iconic Beco do Batman, where students will be able to appreciate the colorful and expressive works of local artists, immersing themselves in São Paulo's urban culture.

Each section has been designed with different lighting and sounds, which contribute to creating unique and immersive atmospheres. Attractions such as a butterfly garden, the Dinos do Brasil virtual reality room, simulators, saltwater aquariums, anemones and carnivorous and poisonous fish, a model of the sun and a climbing wall, where you can listen to stories about personalities from history, are just a few examples of how visitors can learn and have fun at the same time. In the outdoor area you can also see equipment such as the Dübs locomotive (made in 1888 in England, which belonged to the Cia. Paulista de Estradas de Ferro and was briefly used to transport cargo) and the DC-3 airplane (1936), which was used as a military freighter in the Second World War.

Afterwards, we'll head for lunch and the Museum of Illusions, a first in Latin America. The Museum of Illusions is inspired by the world's leading science and optical illusion museums. Museums with a similar theme are a great success in Europe and the USA.

Located on the 42nd floor of Mirante do Vale, the tallest building in the center of São Paulo, the city's most instagrammable tourist spot has 700m2 of space and the best view in town. For the sensation of floating over the streets and avenues, two glass decks extend out from the façade, allowing visitors to see São Paulo from an angle they've never seen before.

A visit to Beco do Batman, in the heart of Vila Madalena, is one of São Paulo's main tourist attractions and attracts thousands of tourists.
